MDS - Shopping, Shopping and More Shopping, Heather’s Class

Once again, it is TUESDAY!!  You know what that means!!  DOWNLOAD DAY!!  Yippee Yahoo!Heather shot a video of the photo placement and how to match punches to the photo box sizes for us in this class. Her layout allowed me to use a bunch of pictures that my daughter didn't care if I scrapped or not, during their American Girl shopping spree. Perfect!

Heather has given her students permission to post our pages that we made in her 1st class to our Blogs.  I intend to post a class page every Tuesday and keep my regular Scrap pages coming on Fridays as I have been doing.  You still have time to sign up to Heather’s MDS Made Simple 2 class.  You really just don’t want to miss it!
Paper: Twitterpated 7, Riding Hood Red.

Stamps – Distressed Dots (opacity 60), Vintage Overlay 1 (opacity 60).

Embellishments - Twitterpated buttons & ribbon, Stitching, Downtown Grunge (I'm pretty sure my little Olivia would have a fit if she knew I used something called 'grunge' on her American Girl page!!).

Punches: Curly Label, Circle.

Font - CK Farout size 52 (purchased).

MDS 066 Zeal Scrapbook Page

Page before adding Photo boxes.
My Digital Studio Software by Stampin' Up!.
Love this ScrapSketch20 by Alesha!  Had to try it!  I made this page ages ago and didn’t make a recipe for it.  I’m not sure where I got the Pacific Point buttons as the one that came with my CD is corrupt.  At this time, I have not purchased the Add On Pack.  Maybe it’s not Pacific Point - maybe it’s a different color!  Also, I don’t know why I didn’t use the ribbon that comes with Ice Cream Parlor to make my crosses – would of saved me a lot of work!  Instead I re-sized the square punch to the size I wanted my crosses and paper filled.  Once I made the longest one, I copied and pasted to do the rest.

This is a 12x12 page.
Paper: Ice Cream Parlor 4 (background) and 1 - for the crosses.

Stamp Brush Sets: Define your Life – Zeal (Pacific Point).

Embellishments: Vintage Trinkets - brass button, don’t know what the blue buttons are.

Punches: Lots of Tags 1 (White), Square - for the crosses.

I do not claim to be any type of photographer.  I have a plain and simple camera and I love to take pictures!

MDS 065 Faux Folded Corner Scrapbook Page

Page before adding Photo boxes.
My Digital Studio Software by Stampin' Up!.
This was inspired from a page on Caroline’s March 18, 2010 blog.

Paper: Chocolate Chip (background); My Sweet Pea 38 (10x10”).

This is a 12x12 page.
For the fold, I used the Square punch, re-sized it to 2x2”, filled it with My Sweet Pea 42 and set it on the bottom, right corner of my green paper.  Now I drop shadowed it but I dragged the shadow to be at the top of my square, not the bottom.  Then I created another square punch, color filled it with my background (Chocolate Chip), rotated it to minus 45 and re-sized it to cover half my striped square.  That is how I created my Faux Corner Fold.

Stamp Brush Sets: Established Elegance (Very Vanilla); Baroque Motifs (Very Vanilla).

Embellishments: Scallop Dots Ribbon (Chocolate Chip); Round Button (Chocolate Chip).

Punches: Square; Scallop – stretched to fit across the whole page (My Sweet Pea 42).

I do not claim to be any type of photographer.  I have a plain and simple camera and I love to take pictures!  If you have just stumbled on my Blog, type ‘MDS Scrap Page’ in the Search Box (top left corner) to see what we have been doing.  I am using Windows 7 so you may need to click on HELP (across the top of the MDS program), My Digital Studio Help if you are using a different Windows than me.   Watch for NEW Scrap Pages posted every Friday.
